Following his successful UK debut supporting Robert Plant presents Saving Grace in November, McCall is confirmed as a special guest for the upcoming tour in March, with a notable performance at London’s Palladium on Mar. 17. Tickets for Robert Plant presents Saving Grace 2024 will be available for purchase starting Friday, Jan. 19 at 10 am here.

The release of “Tide of Love” follows the poignant tribute “Rest On Easy” and the title track “Mellow War,” setting the tone for McCall’s highly anticipated second album. Speaking about Mellow War, McCall shared the heartfelt inspiration behind the album:

Mellow War pays homage to my late grandpa. My grandpa went to Vietnam. The album cover is him in Vietnam. The video for this song is from the war in Vietnam. These are songs that are sort of letters to home that I imagined he might have sent. My grandpa was a life inspiration for me; it was bigger than just music. The songs are a tribute to everything he stood for and everything he taught me. It’s a way for me to share with him even when he’s in another dimension. This isn’t just about me or myself.”

Mellow War follows McCall’s highly acclaimed debut album, Black Powder Soul, which was released in 2021. The new album, produced by McCall and Sean McConnell (Michael Franti and Wade Bowen), promises a unique mix of blues-fueled Americana. The cover of Mellow War features a real picture of Taylor’s grandfather as a young man.

Having built a strong fanbase since his late teens, McCall has continued to evolve his sound, combining unique musicianship with a powerful and resonant voice. Mellow War is a testament to McCall’s depth of character, transcending his age and a soul beyond his years.
