About Highwire
Highwire is an independent magazine for people who still care enough about music, culture and sport to have opinions about them. Not every album is a masterpiece. Not every gig changes lives. We would rather tell you what we actually think.
What do we cover?
Music is the main event: live reviews, records, interviews, festivals, photos, previews and new artists we think deserve more attention.
We also cover culture and sport when there is a good story behind them, especially questions of identity, history, access and who gets heard.
Pitching music
Got a release you think we should hear? Send it our way. We are always interested in new music, but inboxes get busy and we cannot promise every direct pitch will be covered.
