Polish-born, London-based pop/soul sensation Rose White has just released her latest single, “Mistake I Want To Make,” which hit all major platforms on Jan. 19th.

Known for her distinctive blend of playful pop, soulful grooves, and infectious funk hooks, Rose White wraps her husky voice around a full range of emotions, drawing comparisons to Duffy, Olivia Dean, and the legendary Amy Winehouse. With a commitment to addressing the topics many shy away from, Rose aims to speak openly about the shared experiences we all think about but often hesitate to voice.

Her single, “Mistake I Want To Make,” is a narrative of a single woman navigating the unpredictable waters of casual dating in her 20s. Rose shares, “I wanted to document mine and my friends’ experiences and emphasize the thrill that dating in your 20s gives you.” The song’s inspiration traces back to a vivid memory of a party, evolving into a collaboration with talented songwriter Johnny White. Together, they crafted a soulful, upbeat instrumental with a groove-laden flair and an unexpected outro, perfectly encapsulating the essence of the story.

Rose White’s journey to musical acclaim began when she arrived in London at age 20, armed with £300, two suitcases, and no connections. Climbing the ranks of the open mic circuit, she eventually headlined clubs with her band, leading to the release of her debut EP, “One Fourth Mark,” in 2022. The EP garnered glowing reviews and secured placements on coveted editorial playlists.

Rose was raised in a household immersed in Polish punk and international rock; her White’s teenage musical influences spanned The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Joy Division. Later discoveries included jazz greats like Nina Simone, soul legends James Brown and Stevie Wonder, and powerful female voices of the early 2000s, such as Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, Amy Winehouse, and Annie Lennox.

Rose’s material carries echoes of these influences alongside traces of contemporary artists like RAYE, Jorja Smith, and Joy Crookes, creating a unique sound that she humorously describes as a blend of “Imagine if Amy Winehouse and Olivia Dean had a baby.”

Reflecting on her musical journey, Rose White shares, “I use music as a tool to understand my place in the world. The more I write and compose, the more I realize how similar to each other we all are.”

“Mistake I Want To Make” was released on Jan. 19th, and Rose invites you to join her on a soulful exploration of love, thrill, and the shared experiences that bind us all.
