FC Barcelona is set to grace the pitch in an electrifying one-off football shirt featuring The Rolling Stones’ legendary Tongue and Lips logo for their upcoming El Clásico match against arch-rivals Real Madrid.

Spanish news authority Esports RAC1 broke the exclusive story, revealing that Barcelona will don the distinctive Rolling Stones-inspired kit on either Saturday, October 28 or Sunday, October 29, 2023.

This match is scheduled just over a week after the highly-anticipated release of The Rolling Stones’ 24th studio album, Hackney Diamonds.

Under their current sponsorship with streaming giant Spotify, Barcelona aims to redefine football fashion with this daring collaboration featuring the iconic rock band’s emblem.

In a prior venture, the revered Catalan club sported a kit adorned with rapper Drake’s logo for the inaugural El Clásico match of the 2022/2023 La Liga season last October. However, the Drake-inspired shirt proved to be no good luck charm, as Barcelona fell short in a 3-1 loss.

As fate would have it, a special edition kit donning the logo of Spanish sensation Rosalía was showcased in the second El Clásico match of the same season in March. Barcelona emerged triumphant with a 2-1 victory.

With their Spotify Camp Nou stadium presently undergoing substantial renovations, the forthcoming battle between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be waged at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, boasting a formidable 56,000-seat capacity.

The Rolling Stones’ Hackney Diamonds album, featuring the lead single ‘Angry,’ promises an all-star ensemble, including guest appearances from music luminaries such as Lady Gaga, Bill Wyman, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, and Elton John. The album also pays poignant tribute to the late Charlie Watts, featuring his posthumous contributions on two tracks.
