In the heart of Brockwell Park, Wide Awake Festival continues to solidify its reputation as one of London’s most distinctive and well-curated festivals. Today, the organizers announced a thrilling addition to their 2024 lineup, featuring various up-and-coming and established leftfield talents.
On Saturday, May 25th, the festival will be graced by the legendary shoegaze titans Slowdive, Berlin electronic duo Modeselektor, and Iranian-Dutch artist Sevdaliza, among others. The lineup boasts a dynamic mix of genres, including the New York singer-songwriter INIKO, Seattle-based quartet La Luz, NTS favorite and South East London legend OK Williams, spellbinding Brighton avant-folk quartet The New Eves, Australian industrial rockers HTRK, and New York noise-rock band Model/Actriz.
These acts will join previously announced headliners King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Mercury Prize winners Young Fathers. The lineup also features UK post-punk favorites Squid, DJs Ben UFO and Helena Hauff, electronic pop legend Alice Glass, Australian rockers C.O.F.F.I.N, Babe Rainbow, The Dare, Decius, Etran De L’air, Crumb, Eartheater, Upchuck, and YHWH Nailgun, among many others.
Adding to the excitement, acclaimed experimental DJ and composer David Holmes is set to make a welcome appearance. The main stage will be hosted by US radio station KEXP, promising an unforgettable experience for festival-goers.
